The Board of Directors of African Sun Limited announced the appointment of Lloyd Mhishi as the Lead Independent Director, effective 1 August 2023. Lloyd was appointed to the African Sun Board on 1 May 2021 and has served as the Chairperson of the Company’s Human Resources and Remuneration Committee.

Border Timbers Limited announced that an Extraordinary General Meeting (EGM) of its members will be held at 1000 hours on Friday, 28 July 2023, at 4 – 12 Paisley Road, Southerton, Harare, and virtually by electronic means via the link https://escrowagm.com/eagmZim/Login.aspx.

Star Africa said due to the audit of the financial results of the associate company in Botswana, which is ongoing, there has been a delay on the finalization of the audit for the year ended 31 March 2023. Therefore, the abridged audited financial statements for the year ended 31 March 2023 will be published in the press and on our website on or before 31 August 2023.

OK Zimbabwe Limited advised stakeholders of the delay in publication of its Audited Financial Results for the year ended 31 March 2023 which were due for publication on or before 30 June 2023. The Company attributed the delay to its migration to a new Enterprise Resource Planning System at the beginning of the financial year under review, whose implementation has resulted in delayed finalisation of the company’s Financial Statements. The Audited Financial Results will be published on or before 31 August 2023.

Cautionary Statement: ZBFH

ZBFH issued a further cautionary statement on 31 July 2023 advising stakeholders that negotiations with one of the shareholders are still on going for a potential acquisition of a control block of securities, which if concluded successfully, may have a material effect on the Company’s securities price. This follows previously issued cautionary statements dated 20 June 2022, 22 July 2022, 31 August 2022, 30 September 2022, 17 November 2022, 23 January 2023, 03 March 2023, 13 April 2023 and 7 June 2023. Accordingly, shareholders and members of the investing public are advised to exercise caution when dealing in the company’s securities until a full announcement is made.

Notice to the Public: EFE

The Zimbabwe Stock Exchange (ZSE) announced that the suspensions imposed on EFE Securities (Pvt) Limited, Mr. Edgeton Tsanga, Ms. Brenda Mwaturura, and Ms. Coreen Madanha by the ZSE, which barred them from practicing as securities dealers on the ZSE for six weeks ended on 2 August 2023. The cited members have now resumed their normal practice.

Dividend Declaration Notice: Tigere Property Fund

The ZSE listed REIT, Tigere, declared its quarterly dividend of US$255,202 made up of US$218,087 (being 0.03 United States cents per unit) as well as an additional ZWL167,651,585 (being 23.30 Zimbabwe Cents per unit) in respect of the period ended 30 June 2023. The dividend will be payable on or about the 31st of August 2023 to all Unit holders of the Company registered at the close of business on 25th of August 2023.
