Harare- CBZ Holdings kicked off 2025 with a stellar first-quarter performance, highlighting its resilience and strategic focus in a challenging economic environment. The Group reported a profit after tax of ZWG537.53 million, driven by a total income of ZWG1.41 billion.

This financial outcome highlights CBZ Holdings’ strong capital position, dominant market presence in deposit mobilisation, and high transactional volumes, setting a positive tone for the remainder of the financial year.

A key driver of CBZ Holdings’ top-line performance was the balanced contribution from both funded and non-funded income streams. Funded income, amounting to ZWG486.24 million, provided a stable foundation, while non-funded income shone brightly at ZWG938.03 million, accounting for a significant portion of the Group’s revenue.

The robust growth in non-funded income was propelled by CBZ Holdings’ ongoing investments in its service delivery channel ecosystem, particularly its digital platforms.

This focus on digital innovation has enhanced operational efficiency and strengthened client engagement, enabling the Group to deliver tailored banking and financial solutions that meet evolving customer needs.

The Group’s asset base reached ZWG38.75 billion by the end of the quarter, underpinned by a deposit base of ZWG26.79 billion. The strong deposit base, coupled with high transactional volumes, reinforces the Group’s market leadership and operational efficiency.

Looking ahead, CBZH’s strategic focus will be on innovation, cost discipline, and efficient capital management. The Group’s ongoing investments in operating assets, technology, human capital, and governance systems will remain pivotal to its value-creation agenda.
